The 9.8 Crag Classic is a versatile single rope for all-round use and a perfect first rope for sport climbing. The 9.8mm diameter provides a great balance between high durability and low weight and bulk. This rope changes pattern at the half way mark just for that extra piece of mind. 

It is part of Mammut's overhauled rope range and is BLUESIGN certified demonstrating its strong eco-credentials, the Crag Classic is based on the popular Mammut 9.8mm Eternity.

This classic version is untreated for great value. If you want it to stand up to abuse better or need a rope for wet or icy environments consider the DRY version which has the core and sheath treated to massively improve durability and prevent water ingress.
